Bringing the brand home
Philadelphia has always been a sports town. From the Philly Special to Iverson and Kobe ‘Ringing the Bell’ in the NBA Finals, this city is on the verge of a sporting event like no other. In 2026, all eyes will be on Philadelphia as the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the nation’s birth, and now the FIFA World Cup game on July 4th where Philadelphia will be an official host to a Round of 16 game.

A (soccer) pitch to Philly
My team and I were brought in to lead all brand-related efforts for the Philadelphia Host City brand launch. Working with FIFA teams in Philadelphia, New York, London, Zürich, Paris, and Montréal, we helped shape and make critical decisions on the Philadelphia brand—patterns, city-specific colors, photography, and more. Once established, we set forth an ambitious launch plan that included a city-wide digital advertising campaign, a branded takeover of Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Stadium), and a permanent art installation to commemorate the anticipated games.
Once the brand was successfully launched, we turned our attention to outfitting the Philadelphia Soccer office with one-of-a-kind graphics, signage, and a bespoke art installation of 16 custom-designed and fabricated soccer balls to bring the brand home. Word on the street is that Philly has the best office space of all the 16 Host Cities!
